Bullethole Sunrise – an exploration of memory
“It’s a blazing day outside and the body screams for ocean. Cool and crystalline relief as salted water evaporates and skin dries firm like a mud mask. Repetition of hot – cold becomes an experience quite sublime, cooled bared midriff meeting baking concrete. Waterlogged eyelashes squint through the glare, sun flares meeting water droplets to form tiny rainbows across my view. It was just such a lazy day and I started to look at all things through these salty, watered eyes.

Delirious: Kingdom of Comfort Album Shoot
One of my favourite photography moments has to be the day I got the call to shoot the UK band, Delirious, for their Kingdom of Comfort Album.

I have been lucky to photograph this family on more than one occasion, this time to introduce to the world their precious, third born child, firstborn son, Levi. The name Levi finds it’s roots in ancient Hebrew culture, and means ‘pledged’ or ‘attached’. May you always find your life attached in the deepest way, little one, to family, friendship and to the One who has given you to them that they might nurture your life and dreams, and destiny.

When scouting for this shoot I came across this backlit lane of trees meandering down to sea. There are so many sandy corridors just like this one waiting to be explored on the Sunshine Coast.
