Love that Hermes are on the same page, probably without even knowing it…
“Hold on to wisdom, and it will take care of you.
Love it, and it will keep you safe.
7 Wisdom is the most important thing; so get wisdom.
If it costs everything you have, get understanding.
8 Treasure wisdom, and it will make you great;
hold on to it, and it will bring you honor.
9 It will be like flowers in your hair
and like a beautiful crown on your head.”
– Proverbs 4:7-9 (& morning Vogue read…)
To say that this is just another ‘day in the life’ of this family coast church would be pretty accurate. These kids have it good! Just a bit of fun after a sunday morning service at the J Centre. #hillsongnoosa #hillsongkids
How beautiful to see this little man make a big decision. He was completely alert and resolved. I know from personal experience you can’t underestimate the ability of small children to have their own very real encounters with God.
I have seen people being baptised before. To witness it on this particular day, up close and personal, was an incredible privilege. The atmosphere was tangibly joyous – people were running back to the beach exuberant, shining and some even giggling and skipping like children. It was the real thing, a genuine moment of spiritual transformation.
A friend recently said something profound. Paraphrased, it was something along these lines;
‘Use what has been placed in your hands’.
We all want to do something to make the world a better place, and on our own we can do amazing and incredible things. But when women unite, with a single heart, and a single cause, they can truly change the world’. I totally believe this.
Human trafficking for the purpose of enslaving women and children (as young as 4) to sexual servitude is the 2nd largest global criminal industry in the world, taking in profits of over 3.1 Billion USD per year. Growing up in Africa I thought poverty was the big low in this life, but if you look a little closer, you will find a much more sinister, dark evil at work in the world we live in. If you want to do something beautiful, if you want to use what is in the present moment in your hands, go to http://www.thea21campaign.org/and see what you CAN do. TODAY.
Where do you go on a weekend getaway when you already live in a tropical paradise?
Byron Bay is our new spot for future family holidays. I highly recommend Clarkes Caravan park – right on the beach, excellent little point break, restaurant and cafe with an awesome view of the entire beach and the mountains in the distance(or should I say large hills?). Tranquil, chilled out but trendy town, live music spilling out from every street corner cafe, and an amazing selection of cuisine to chose from. Indian, Asian, Japanese, Italian, Greek, its all there. Yum! Best anniversary weekend away with the babe man.
I have a new toy. I’m using it with another of my favourite toys.
A water proof casing and my iphone leads to a number of great experiences:
1. Treading water for an hour and a half to take pictures of my sister and her boyfriend on the water is an incredible workout,
2. Doing a shoot while swimming up the coast past 4 sets of surfers and breaks, around a big rocky point to beautiful Tea Tree bay is exhilarating, inspiring, an adventure and pretty scary. There is no way I could forget about the fact that there could have be sharks around.
